Fountaine Pajot

Jean-Francois Fountaine spent many years at sea himself so in 1976, when he founded his own shipyard in the French city of La Rochelle, he was fulfilling the boat lover’s dream. In 1983 the first catamaran went into production and the Louisiana 37 was the first model to begin the long tradition of the Fountaine Pajot Catamaran. The product line was then expanded in 1985 in order to meet increasing demand for the Fountaine Pajot Catamaran. Under the leadership of designer Olivier Flanault, the Fountaine Pajot team went onto create a new generation of Pajot Catamaran boats. The first model of this era was the Casamance and even today every Fountaine Pajot Catamaran bears the signature of Olivier Flanault. The company’s headquarters can be found in Aigrefeuille. Each year around 150 Fountaine Pajot Caramarans are produced. If you would like to buy or sell a Fountaine Pajot Catamaran or boat, simply pay a visit to one of their service centres which can be found all over the world.

Product Line

Both motor and sailing catamarans are produced by Fountaine Pajot but the major focus of production lies with cruising catamarans. In short, there is a Fountaine Pajot to suit any sailor. The Highland 35 Pilot model with its twin engines can prove to be the stable and secure choice, while the motor yacht Queensland 55 was conceptualised with longer journeys in mind. With its fine woodwork and king size beds perhaps this upmarket wonder boat can lull you into a purchase. Whoever you are, if you simply expect more from a boat and decide to buy yourself a Fountaine Pajot Catamaran, the Summerland 40 model will not disappoint. This boat is fit for six to eight passengers and offers a sheltered cockpit, kitchen, bathroom and ample storage space. Even as used boats Fountaine Pajot Catamarans are a dream for any sailor.

Every Pajot Catamaran is kitted out with innovative Eco Cruising. In using this incredible new technology it is possible that all energy used aboard the boat can be generated by the Pajot Catamaran itself. This means every Fountaine Pajot Catamaran is almost completely self-sustainable in terms of electrical power.
