Proven, safe bluewater yacht for all latitudes. Ready to sail away immediately!

Description in a nutshell:
- Cutter rigg
- two engines
- 1 fixed keel (this type of boat comes often with twin-keel)
- steel
- helm seperated from cockpit
- large centre cockpit as main living area with great protection against the elements
- fully equipped for offshore sailing and living on board

We sell 'September' during our circumnavigation that started mid 2016. As we tend to sail around the world much longer than expected we are switching to a boat that is suitable for us even when we're older - we're around 60 years of age now.

Starting towards the end of 2021 we will sail the boat from Panama towards the Azores and from there onward to Cherbourg, France where we plan to get around July 2022. During all this time the boat can be visited and sailed if required. Ideally the sale takes place in Cherbourg.

During the course of our ownership which started in 2007 we have constantly improved the boat and invested. 2019 the entire deck was sand blasted and redone. Almost the entire deck woodwork (cockpit and helm area) were replaced at the same time. The underlying and partially corroded steel got replaced and welded. Problems from preowners with inside water damages were treated. 2016 two new Beta Marine 50 hp engines were installed. We regularly have the already strong rigg inspected and replace parts where needed.

We spent considerable time in pretty hot, very wet and also chilly areas (below -10 degrees C). Often we stayed away from civilization for an extended periode of time. The ship is equipped acordingly:

- diesel heating with radiators in all cabines regulated by thermostats
- hot water from diesel heating or boiler (fed by shore power or cooling water from engines)
- insulation
- strong cover for the entire boat
- protection against sun/rain all over, rain cover for open hatches
- mosquito nets for all openings, large net over entire cockpit cover
- curtains and sun cover on all openings
- large centre cockpit that can be entirely or partially closed, also during sailing
